1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Recordio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Recordio for personal or commercial use, subject to these terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date
  • Refunds are issued at our discretion within 7 days of purchase
  • You can cancel anytime through your account settings
  • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not share your account with others

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service
  • Copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on the Service's source code, user interface designs, or visual elements
  • Use browser developer tools, network inspection, or automated tools to systematically extract, scrape, or copy the Service's code, algorithms, or design patterns for the purpose of replication
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or make the Service's source code or any portion thereof available to any third party
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, proprietary markings, or branding from the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Use the Service to record content without proper authorization
  • Violate any third-party rights, including privacy and intellectual property
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

All source code (including client-side JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related assets), algorithms, user interface designs, visual elements, documentation, and other content, features, and functionality of Recordio are the exclusive property of Recordio and are protected by United States and international copyright, trade secret, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The Service is licensed, not sold. No ownership rights in the software are transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by Recordio.

You retain full ownership of any content (such as recordings and exported videos) that you create using the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Recordio is subject to our Privacy Policy. Video recordings and projects are stored locally in your browser's storage by default. If you use the shareable links feature, your video is uploaded to Cloudflare Stream for hosting and delivery. You can delete a shared video at any time, which permanently removes it from Cloudflare's servers.

8. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable and consistent access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

10. Warranties and Liability

AS-IS BASIS: Recordio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
